Joe Biera

Graveside services for Joe H. Biera, 65, Eudora, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Eudora, KS.
He died July 25, 2010 at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, KS.
 
He was born March 28, 1945 in Merkel, Texas the son of Felipe and Lucia (Hernandez) Biera.
 
He worked for many years with the City of Lawrence Water Department.
 
Survivors include three brothers, Edward Biera of Hutchison, KS, Robert Biera of Peoria, IL, Henry Biera of Linwood, KS; two sisters, Mary Ramirez, LaMesa, TX, and Virginia Wilkens, Lawrence, KS; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Phillip Biera, and a sister, Mickey Mendoza.
 
The family suggests memorials in his name to the American Diabetes Association and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel.
