Joan described herself as “just Joan,” but to all who knew and loved her, she was a talented, charismatic woman whom many of us felt honored to call our friend. She was truly a one-of-a-kind individual–never angry, caring, a wonderful cook who enjoyed sharing her culinary treats with others, a very talented and skilled artist, a loyal friend, and always ready for any adventure. Her legacy resides with her loving family that she has temporarily left behind, but I know she is in Heaven and “keepin’ on dancing.” My condolences to her family and to all who know what her loss is to the world.

Joan had the world’s biggest smile and was an amazingly talented artist. Her landscapes and floral paintings are spectacular. But it was her joyful spirit and genuine friendship that my husband Ray and I appreciated most. She will be greatly missed. I extend my sincere sympathy to her family.
