James Robb

Graveside services for James Robb, 87, Lawrence will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Eudora Cemetery in Eudora. He passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 in Lawrence.

James was born September 7, 1928 in Fayette, MO the son of James D. and Lillian (Cleek) Robb.

He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Hamm Construction for many years.

He married Bonnie Jean Wittenmyer on February 11, 1951 in Oskaloosa, KS. She preceded him in death February 20, 2005.

Survivors include his six daughters, Gloria Robb, Vera Cates, both of Lawrence, Rita Fisher, Eudora, Linda Robb, Lana Robb, Kristina Grammer, all of Lawrence; five sons, James E. Robb, Myron Robb, Steven Robb, Danny Robb, David Robb, all of Lawrence; 20 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; five brothers, Wally Robb, William Robb, Vernon Robb, Bobby Jo TenPenny and Walter Edward Robb; and two sisters, Nancy Roberts and Mary Tuckel. He was also preceded in death by brother, Marvin Harold Robb; and two sisters, Evelyn May Robb and Betty Jean Robb.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Perry American Legion Post 142 and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
