I was 9 years old when I met Jimmy. He and my dad had played cards so late, jimmy stayed over and slept on the sofa. I saw Jimmy every now and then through the years, mostly at cafes , where I worked .. I always got a big hug, delighted to see him happy!
I never heard him bragg about his accomplishments or success. I bet few know all he has done! I’ve seen others have to tell stories for him because he was very humble!
I want to add that in this era, it’s rare to find a man mindful of his company, but he was a complete gentleman around women and children. He was one of my dad’s buddy’s, whom I admired and honored to call my friend.
It’s sad to know the last time I seen Jimmy , is the last.
My condolences to Jimmy’s family and loved ones closest to him.
I know he will be missed.
