A celebration of life for James Everett Seaver will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Crafton-Preyer Theatre in Murphy Hall, Lawrence, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that any donations be made to Kansas Public Radio or charity of your choice.
I taught for Jim Seaver in the Western Civilization Program during my Masters work–my first teaching job, which taught me more than I could teach my students. He mentored and befriended so many of us over those years. Jim is still alive for me, every time I step into a classroom or hear an aria. Thank you, Jim.
