I am sorry to hear of Clark’s passing. I worked for him when he was the manager at the Big Boy in Ottawa and then again in Lawrence. He was an amazing boss and all around nice guy. May the Lord be with you during this time of mourning.

So sorry to hear of Clark’s death. He interviewed me for a job at JB’s Big Boy in September of 1973. I was bussing tables 2 hours later. It started a long love-hate relationship with the company, but a good friendship with Clark, and his brothers Kyle and Royal. We had a few Big Boy reunions and I saw Clark at a couple of them. We always focused on the good times and the many good people we worked with. No more “tickets down.” Mark Braun, Topeka.

We at Cottonwood were sorry to receive the news of Clark’s death. I remember calling him urgently decades ago when one of Cottonwood’s group homes was flooded on a weekend. He immediately responded to remediate the damage. That begin a very long business association with Clark’s cleaning service. He was always helpful, so responsive, and worked hard, as did his whole family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
