Hobart O. Woody Jr.

Graveside services for Hobart O. Woody Jr., 77, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence, KS. Hobart passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at his residence in Lawrence.

Hobart was born on September 23, 1947, in Lawrence, KS, the son of Hobart Sr. and Minnie (Hughes) Woody.

Survivors include his children, Kim Andrews, Charlie Woody, Casey Coleman, brother, Gordy Woody, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family near and far.

Hobart was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kenya Wilson, sister, Beth Anne Woody, and granddaughter, Denaya Viney.

Memorial contributions may be made in Hobart’s name to Chairty of Choice and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

    Charlie, so sorry to hear about your DAD, it is so hard to lose a parent so lean on your loved ones for help and don’t be afraid to do so. Rest easy now knowing he is pain free now and in a better place. GOD will take care of him now. GOD BLESS you and the family.
