Gage Connor Mick

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Gage Mick, age 18, our most beloved son, brother, family member and friend passed unexpectantly on Friday, September 10, 2021 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO.

A Celebration of Life for Gage will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2021 at Westside Family Church, 8500 Woodsonia Drive, Lenexa, KS. The service will be live streamed at https://vimeo.com/615383017 Burial will be held at Plainville Cemetery in Plainville, KS at a later date.

Those who were lucky enough to have met Gage know he was a truly delightful, generous, easy-going, fun-loving human being. Gage was a true friend to his friends – ready and willing at a moment’s notice, to raid his dads tool box and rush to fix a flat tire or whatever issue they were having. He loved going to the lake, riding ATV’s and motorcycles, fast cars, burning the thread off his tires and spinning some donuts. His family often teased him by calling him Dale Earnhardt Jr as him and his friends claimed he was the best driver ever. The bond he had with his brothers and friends was unbreakable.

Gage will be missed everyday by his parents, Damien and Debralee Mick, his brothers Devon (Jailen) and Tucker, his grandparents Jim & Paula Mick and Dennis & Lila Howard, his loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many, many great friends.

Gage’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Medical Intensive Care Unit Staff at University Hospital in Columbia, MO for their care and commitment for Gage.

Memorial contributions may be made in Gage’s name to University Hospital in Columbia, MO or https://www.gofundme.com/f/medical-expenses-for-gage-mick and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
