Funeral services for Freddy Corbin Reeves, 70, Lawrence will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2020, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence, Kansas. He passed away Friday, February 21, 2020, at his home.
Freddy was born on August 6, 1949 in Harrison, Arkansas, the son of Corby and Mary (Baker) Reeves.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia, mother, Mary Reeves, children, Gregory (Angel) Reeves and Jessica Reeves, six grandchildren, Adam, Cole, Brett, Kylee, Grant and Erica.
The family suggests memorials in his name to the Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
I’m so sorry to hear of Freddy’s passing. He was a classmate of mine from grade school all the way through high school. My deepest condolences to his family.
My deepest sympathy to Freddy’s loved ones. I am the former Helen Livingston Pendleton. Freddy was my neighbor, friend, and fellow classmate (LHS class of 1967). I first met him at McAllaster Elementary School. He was kind and cheerful and full of energy. May the Lord comfort you and give you His peace. (I wanted to post of photo of Freddy and some other boys who attended a birthday party for my older brother Steve at our house on Connecticut Street in the 1950s, but can’t find an option to post photos.)
