Funeral services for Franklin “Frank” D. Borror, 90, Lawrence will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the Garnett Cemetery in Garnett, KS. He died June 6, 2011 at Baldwin Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Baldwin City, KS.
Mr. Borror was a resident of Lawrence since 1957.
He was born October 9, 1920 in Arkansas City, KS the son of George D. & Inez (Mockerman) Borror.
He was a mechanic at Turner Chevrolet until he retired in 1982. He was a member of the United Brethern Church in Garnett, the V.F.W., and the Salvation Army.
He married Leora Belle Lilly on October 9, 1941 in Garnett, Kansas. She preceded him in death August 23, 2009.
Survivors include one son, Franklin L. Borror of Garnett, KS; three daughters, Marcia Criqui, Garnett, Kansas; Judith G. Shepherd, Lawrence, KS; Constance “Connie” Turner, Lawrence, KS; two sisters, Edna Kirl, Texas, “Sally” LaVerne Ball, Missouri, nine grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son , Max D. Borror in January 2011, three brothers, Paul, Richard, Keith and two sisters, Bonnie Wells and Mina Jane Borror.
Family will greet friends from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials in his name to the Gideon’s and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

Our reunions won’t be the same without him. We will all miss him, but our loss is ods gain. Rest in peace,dear brother. We all love you. You were the engine of Moms train ,as Dad always said, and I was the caboos. We will miss you.
