Frances “Fran” Elizabeth Morrison

Frances Elizabeth Morrison passed peacefully in her sleep Monday, February 8, 2016, at Pioneer Ridge Nursing Facility. Frances was born April 30, 1924 and enjoyed her life, putting God and her family first.

She was united in marriage January 1, 1946 to Max W. Morrison 58 years before his preceding her in death on February 17, 2004. Also preceding her in death, two sons, Gerald K. Morrison and Wayne D. Morrison; five brothers, Nathen Burkhart, Paul Burkhart, Homer Burkhart, Don Burkhart, Eldon Burkhart; and two sisters, Orvetta Rathbun and Bonita Reno. She is loved and survived by her son, Galen J. Morrison and wife, Elizabeth of Lawrence; two daughters-in-law, Robin Bell and Dana Morrison; one brother, Vernon D. Burkhart and wife, Joyce of Yates Center; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, all of them convinced she was a story book grandma.

Frances was a friend to all and she will be missed by many nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.

Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Lawrence Wesleyan Church. There will a private burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorial may be made in her name to the Lawrence Wesleyan Church and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    I am saddened to hear of the passing of
