Floyd L. Turner

Family services for Floyd L. Turner, 65, Lawrence will be held at a later date. He died February 4, 2019 at his home.

He was born May 28, 1953 in Ottawa, KS the son of Robert and Mary (Jones) Turner.

He worked as a carpenter and also laid carpet. He enjoyed coloring, watching movies, playing cards, especially Pitch. He also enjoyed the time he spent with his family.

He is survived by his son, Floyd Turner, Jr. Ottawa; brother, John (Cecilia) Turner, Hazleton, PA; four sisters, Linda Tunget, Baldwin City, Connie Scott, Ottawa, Ramona (Larry) Brown-Ford, Arkansas, Mary Parker (Tim), Ottawa; five grandchildren, Stevie, Ioa, Doris, Rose, Joshua; 5 nieces, 10 nephews, 11 great-nephews, 17 great-nieces, 5 great-great nieces, 5 great-great nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alberta and Roberta; brother, Robert and his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and a niece.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
