Barbara, We are so happy to have had you and Dwight in our life. Me in particular, to have been lucky enough to share his humor and fantastic outlook on every day life will be a lasting memory. You certainly had a winner. I doubt that we will be there for the service, but our thoughts and best wishes will make the trip.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Roberta
May the love of family and friends sustain you in these difficult days.
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Dwight was a great lifelong friend. He was so bright, industrious and hard working. I constantly find myself laughing at things he said or that we did. If the world was full of people like him there would not be any problems but it would be full of laughter. The Class of 58, and tons of others, will really miss him. What a great friend.
What a wonderful video tribute. May your family find some comfort knowing Dwight is free from the pain he suffered and Dee was there to welcome him home.
Peace and prayers for you all during this painful transition in your lives.
Barb, so sorry to learn that you lost your husband. Thinking of you

Barb
What an honor to know you and Dwight for so many years and to have the pleasure of seeing that winning smile last week. The Ozark trip in 61 was memorable and that 58 Chevy convertible was a classic. The week in Palm Springs was a delight. Dwight was one if the best guys from high school through life. The beautiful bowl he created and you brought to my home in San Francisco is my favorite and admired by all.
His peace is deserved.
What an incredible friend…to my entire family!
Barbara, where does one start when thinking about Dwight? Unique, perhaps would be my term for him: his laugh, his easy-going way, his woodworking talent, his humor, his high regard for friendship, his devotion to his family and especially you, even his tolerance for pain! You and Dwight have always been there for me and that is truly a crowning gem in my life. May God’s comforting arms of love and peace surround you and all your family. Huge hugs and love to all!
Barbara, Bobbi, Annie and family- We are so very sorry for your loss. Dwight was certainly a well known and fun member of the Lawrence community. We are thinking of you at this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. With love from the Gourley’s from Ada, OK
Sorry to hear of your loss. Dwight was a unique individual. I enjoyed working with him on our shared ancestry.
Dwight was a favorite to all who knew him. He set a great example of how to enjoy life and his many friends.
My thoughts are with all of you now and in the months ahead. Dwight was a gem, with a great positive attitude and contagious laugh. Hugs to you all.
Barbara and family – Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as we recall all of the fun times we had together over the years. We know the past few years have been a struggle and we have thought about you all of the time. We will be in touch soon. Love – Claudia and Dale
Dear Barb and Family:
Like I have said before, Dwight was my #1 and only. He was the most handsome and cool guy to ever come out of Lawrence. Dwight was a wonderful father and grandfather. You could just tell how much he enjoyed his family. Dee and I were classmates and Dee was one of my very best life long friends. Those two were so lucky to have each other. I like to think of them as together again now. I will always treasure the beautiful wooden bowls and trays they made for me through the years. I use them for all of our family holidays. They have become
part of our family traditions and I will always keep it that way and then my kids will do the same. My family knows how much I loved both of your boys. We will always keep them in our hearts. Love to you all.

Dear Barbara and family,
Rob and I were saddened to read that dear Dwight had passed away and we, therefore, send our condolences to you and your family. I will always remember the games of golf that Colin and I had with you and Dwight in Palm Springs………those were the days!!!
Please rest assured that you are in our thoughts at this sad moment in time and I will contact you in the very near future. Take care and keep well.
With love from Jill (Boxall) and Rob (Perry).
I am so sorry for your loss. Bobbie and family, I always thought of your parents as being the “cool” ones growing up. Heaven must have more folks laughing, better music playing and competitive golf games being organized now. Hugs.
