Dwight Carl Lynch

Dwight Carl Lynch passed in peace, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the age of 72. He was raised in Kingman, KS and lived most of his adult life in Attica, KS with his wife Jean where they raised their three children. He was a father of Jack, Nick (Diana), Brian, and (favorite and only-she jokingly reminded him) daughter, Kathryn “Katy” (Waco) Goodnight. Proud and loving Grandpa to Brian “Bode” (11), Blake (9), Madeleine “Maddie” (7), and Miabella “Mia” (4) Goodnight; and Essie (2) and Carson (7mo.) Lynch.

He loved his family gathering together to enjoy his homemade chicken strips and fries, BBQ ribs, and many yummy chili recipes. Motorcycling across the country with Nick, caring for his oldest grandkids, Bode and Blake, while Katy did her residency in Phoenix, and rafting the Grand Canyon with Brian, Nick, and Waco, were all amongst his fondest memories. He coached his son’s baseball teams and was quite vociferous from the bleachers during all of his kids’ basketball games. Many friends and loved ones treasure the antiques that he lovingly repaired and refinished for them.

He was an Army Veteran and proud of his time he served as an air traffic controller- stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. Interment will be in Kingman, Ks. with military honors, at a later date.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert, and Wanda Lynch, as well as both brothers: Jack (and wife Joan), and Jim (Sharon)survives.

Memorials may be made to your choice of animal shelters, suggesting The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, 5445 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, Ks 66104. Or, better yet, adopt or foster a kitten or puppy in his honor. Dwight loved animals and babies so very much and would be proud to be honored in this way.

Just wanted to offer my condolences for Dwight. I just found out. We entered the Army under the buddy plan. He was definitely a fine man. God bless you all.
