My deepest sympathy to Doug’s family. I am a nurse at the Dialysis facility he was going to. Doug was such a special patient to me. He could always put a smile on my face even when I was having the worst day possible. He was truely a shining light. He will be missed terribly by staff and other patients!
Sincere condolences to Doug’s family and friends. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May God grant you comfort at this difficult time.
Rick and Mary – Even though we hadn’t been in touch in the past few years, we have so many fond memories of the fun times we all shared. Family cookouts, K-State football games…we just all had so much fun together. Please know that we are thinking of you and praying for you during this very difficult time. Doug will live on through his beautiful children, and we hope that will bring you some comfort. God will be with you every step of the way.

Mary and Rick–I cannot imagine the pain you are feeling with Doug’s passing. Doug was always outgoing and friendly–he would always speak to you and give that smile that made you feel you were important to him. I enjoyed many years watching him in sports while the kids were in school. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Janet Spring

Rick and Mary – I’m so sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. Even though I only knew Doug from his visits to see you during the KSU football games, I know you were proud of him and his accomplishments. The athletics department honored Doug with a moment of silence prior to the KSU-Cleveland State basketball game Tuesday night. May God bless you and give you strength during this difficult time.
Rick and Mary,
Sorry that I was unable to attend the services, but like everybody who knew Doug, I would like you to know that a little bit of Doug lives on in everybody who knew him. He would just light up my classroom when he walked in and I will be always thankful for that.
Regards,
Matt Bova
