Funeral services for Donna Lea Schultz, 76, Lawrence will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2019 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Eudora Cemetery. She passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Donna was born on October 28, 1942 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roy and Martha (Beckett) Sanders.
She worked for Lawrence Memorial Hospital as a Kitchen Cook.
She married Donald Schultz on August 10, 1961 in, Phoenix, Arizona.
Survivors include her husband, Donald, daughters, Sharon Marie Hibbs, Donna (Mark Lee) Schultz, brothers, Larry (Karen) Sanders, Keith (Lois) Sanders, Terry Sanders, sisters, Dorothy (Carl) Alexander, Carmen (Duane) and one grandson, Jesse J. (Melanie) Morris.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Neal Sanders, sisters, Dolores Tucker and Gail Wharton.
The family will greet friends from 10:00 ~ 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to The American Lung Association and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
I remember working with Donna at hospital when I was a candy stripper. She was quick to teach me the things I needed to know to be successful. By the end of the summer, I was being nominated by sponsor for who’s who among high school students. I will be forever greatful.

I worked with Donna at the hospital and I appreciated her so much. Donna was so kind to call my Mother Reathyl every week and chat with her. Donna was such a faithful friend. I know she will be missed by her family.
