Donald “Donnie” Harris

Visitation for Donald “Donnie” Harris, 57, Eurdora, KS, will be held at from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2021 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora. Inurnment will follow the visitation at the Eudora Cemetery. Donald passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at LMH Health.

Donald was born on August 16, 1964 in Iola, KS the son of Donald L. and Barbara (Ross) Harris.

Donnie worked for KVI for many years working on small engines, he also worked with his father at the grain elevator. He enjoyed working on tractors.

Survivors include his daughter, Laura Harris and her finance, Jacob Whiteley of Wellsville, KS; one grandson, Christian Whiteley; his siblings, Linda (Mark) Howard of Hutchison, KS; Michael (Janie) Harris of Eudora, KS and Larry Harris of Topeka, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made in Donald’s name to Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

    When I heard Donnie had passed I immediately went back to riding the school bus together. Too much time has passed since our last visit but the memory’ of him recognizing my voice after many years apart is something I have and will continue to cherish. RIP old friend.
