Private family inurnment for Delbert F. Bradley, 88, Lawrence will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence. He passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Delbert was born April 18, 1928 in Tonganoxie, KS the son of Ira Ammon and Katherine Johanna (Norden) Bradley.

He graduated from Tonganoxie High School in 1946 and then served his country in the United States Navy.

He played pool at the Senior Center and volunteered at Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed playing Rummy and working in his yard and garden. He loved to watch sports, especially baseball, basketball and was a true Jayhawk fan.

He originally was a dairy farmer. He then became a power plant operator at the Kansas State Prison in Lansing, KS until he retired in 1992.

He married Judy Jane (Meyer) Harbison August 15, 1992 in Kansas City, KS. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his two daughters, Carolyn Kay (Frank) Schratter, Marilyn Rae (Jim) Teegarden, both of Kansas City, KS; two sons, Kenneth Andrew Bradley, Daniel Wayne (Donna) Bradley, both of Tonganoxie; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Geraldine Bradley, Rogers, AR. He was preceded in death by his son, Max Leon Bradley.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Memorials may be made in his name to the American Heart Association and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
