Graveside services for Darrel M. Browning, 86, Lawrence will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery. He passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at his home.
Darrel was born May 20, 1930 in Hale, CO the son of Albert and Hazel (Sawyer) Browning.
He attended Southwest Missouri State for two years.
Darrel served his country in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sgt. during the Korean War where he was stationed in England.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was an insulator for Farmland Industries in Lawrence until he retired in 1992.
He married Lorna R. McDysan November 17, 1956 in Mt. Vernon, MO. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, CynDi Browning Sedlak and husband, Mike, SanDe Fishburn and husband, Allen; three grandchildren, Matthew (Jenny) Fishburn, Andrew (Kristy) Fishburn, Bryan (Diane) Fishburn; and four great grandchildren; and three sisters.
Memorials may be made in his name to Douglas County Visiting Nurses and Hospice and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
