Danny passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in the comfort of his home. Danny was born on April 29, 1965, in Tahlequah, OK to Jerry and Linda (Pratt) Narcomey. Danny was a proud member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. When Danny was two, his family moved to Lawrence.
Danny attended Lawrence Public Schools and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1983. He worked at the University of Kansas most of his career.
Danny loved spending time with his family and friends. Most friends, he considered his family. He loved his Oklahoma Sooners and his pets. It brings us immense comfort knowing he is reunited now with his beloved Blu.
Danny is survived by his mother, Linda, his daughter, Meghan and his grandson Teagan. Teagan was his pride and joy and he loved being Teagan’s Papa. Other survivors include his brother, Morris (Sarah) Narcomey, niece Jennifer, nephews, Jeremiah, Justin and Cole. He also had many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins that will miss him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, January 21, 2024, at the Floyd Building on the 4H Fairgrounds from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Sorry to hear about the loss of a childhood friend. Morris, Ms. Linda, and family… I pray that God give your peace and comfort, today and always.
I so valued crossing paths on the University of Kansas campus with Linda in Haworth from time to time (hello Linda!) and to get to see Danny and to visit with him in his office just down the hallway at the old Burt Hall and then Kurata. Danny went out of his way to help, like with small things when I just needed to borrow a campus key, or like with big things when he volunteered his time and we used his personal trailer to move most of the offices, desks and office files and equipment, from main campus Burt to west campus Kurata when our office relocated. Danny knew everybody, it seemed. His work required group coordination, scientific and regulatory expertise, detailed recordkeeping, and good customer service. Danny was a significant part of the team award for helping to prepare McCollum for demolition. When it came to cooking, Danny’s Indian Fry Bread was unbeatable! He was proud of his OK roots. He always drove something OU red, sometimes had a puppy follow him around the building, and we got to see, and he was delighted to see Meghan and Teagan stop by at work! There was a season of life when Danny posted Bible verses in his office and on the door, and we talked about the Lord together. He knew that the Bible gives the true meaning of life and by believing in Jesus held the key to stepping into eternity. Danny was a special colleague.
Meghan I am sending you big hugs. I know how much you love your Dad. May the universe Wrap It’s arms around you and Teagan.
I am very sorry for your loss. Prayers for strength for the family during this very difficult time.
Heartfelt sympathy and condolences to The Narcomey, & Pratt Family and all whose lives were touched by Danny.
His smile, sense of humor, love of family, friends and Oklahoma Sooners will be deeply missed. May the fond memories bring comfort.
🙏🏾❤
Sincerely,
Donna Mitchell Family & The Vann Family
