Dale had a “can do” attitude, an indefatigable smile, and a calming presence. My day was always a little brighter when I had an encounter with Dale, and there were many during the 6 years I worked in the Community Health Facility. I am grateful to have had the pleasure of those many encounters and conversations, and I am so sad to know he has passed from us. The world needs more people like you, Dale Seele. Rest in peace.

I first knew Dale while working at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor in the 1990’s. I remember him as a good and thoughtful grandson to Mabel. She was so proud of him. We both moved on to other jobs when our paths crossed again in 2007. I found the same thoughtful, hardworking man I had known previously. I enjoyed getting reacquainted. Dale will be missed by friends and family. May you find comfort knowing he is remembered by many as a truly good person.

In the years I worked at BNC I never knew anyone that didn’t like Dale and never heard a bad word spoken of him. How VNA, BNC and the Health Department will survive without their “Maine Man” I do not know and would hate to be the person that will have to fill his shoes. Rest in love and peace Dale. Condolences to his family.

I am still struggling with this being real. I expect to have you sneaking down the hallway without your keys jingling and pounding on my door to see the terrified look on my face! At least it made you laugh! I know we all told you but I hope that you really understood just how much everyone here cared about you and while I am really sad for all of us, it is comforting to know that you and Dottie are back together again! I feel blessed to have known you and appreciate the great care you took of us and our workplace! Rest in Peace and comfort! Anita

    Dale,
Your kindness towards the children that came to our center will not be forgotten. I also won’t forget the time my door was frozen shut at work and you stuck around to make sure I could get into my car okay. Thank you for all your support at the center and being that friendly face that welcomed many to our building!

Dale was one of the kindest and helpful men I know. His heart was huge and his smile was infectious. Dale was a great role model for the youth in the classroom, often participating in activities we were doing such as making art films, yard clean-up for Earth Day, or sampling items we cooked! He made sure all spaces in and outside the building were taken care of and went above and beyond for staff and clients. Snow was always plowed away and sidewalks shoveled. Grass was mowed and trees trimmed. He was one of the first faces I saw when I came to work and one of the last I saw when leaving. He loved his dogs and shared stories and pictures of them. Our therapy dogs Scout and Ranger loved Dale and he always made time to give them attention. My heart is heavy. Peace to you Dale – I hope you know how much you were loved!

Just a great guy, ex-co-worker, and friend. I know he was in so much pain after Dorothy past. He never got over her accident & losing her. He loved her so much which I could relate w/him & he helped me when my wife that past in 2017. He would always stop and ask how she was doing when she was ill & after she past and talk awhile & ask if I needed anything. Smart, wonderful person. We will all miss him.

Joann, Mike, John, and families. So sorry to hear of the loss of Dale. Worked with your dad / husband Bud, at Zimmerman Steel. And shared a lot of time with you all back in the day. Hunt, fish, dinner, etc. Good to see you all today! Unfortunately under a sad time. May God be with all of you at this difficult time.

  45. Helen Reynolds Bennett on August 3, 2020 at 11:15 pm

As kids for years we shared the hour long school bus ride and so it was a shock to hear that Dale died so young. After having read the condolences; it is evident that he left a great legacy of family, and as a role model of how to leave this earth a better place by having lived in it.

  46. Robin Jacobsen on August 12, 2020 at 9:26 am
