Dale Myard Eisele

We mournfully announce the passing of Dale Myard Eisele of Grain Valley, Missouri on October 22, 2022 after a protracted illness.  Dale was born on June 22, 1958, to Leonard Eisele and Martha Ruff Eisele who preceded him in death.

Dale graduated from Valley Falls High School, attended Colby Community College, Kansas University, and in 1990 received a BA from the University of Missouri.  He brought a high level of curiosity and attention to detail when working as a risk management insurance agent in Kansas City.

While Dale never married, he lived a full life before his illness.  Dale was a passionate gardener, sharing fruits and vegetables with friends and neighbors.  He loved 60’s rock and roll, gospel music and was an avid historian.  He researched newspapers and called local historians to write a book featuring Missouri ghost towns.

Survivors include his brother James Eisele of Lawrence, Kansas, and sister, Maxine Eisele of St. Louis, Missouri, nephews Robert and Ryan Eisele, Nikolas Swider and niece, Aniela Swider.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. October 28, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery 1517 E. 15th St. Lawrence, KS.  The family will greet friends at noon on Friday prior to graveside at Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th St. Lawrence, KS.

I met Dale 50 years ago through my cousin. He became one of my dearest friends. There are so many things I miss about Dale but at the top of the list is laughing with him. He had the best sense of humor, and he was the kind of friend that when we got together that we ended up laughing until we cried. He was the best guy and knowing him was a gift.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Dale was best friends with my sister, Brenda and my cousin, Joy so he was at our house a lot. Those 3 had the bestest of times and it really was priceless to see. He had a wonderful laugh, so kind, and very quick with funny comebacks so he fit right in with our big family. Sending love to the family and to his best friends.

Dale was our neighbor for the last 30 years , we loved Dale he was part of our family, he was so interesting to talk to , he had such a passion for gardening and always shared his bounty with us, which were were grateful! He loved to research and actually one winter researched my entire family and found out a lot of neat things about my ancestors. He also loved the Lord and would sit outside reading his Bible daily and we went to Bible study together for many years, he had a lot of insight! Many memories were made and my family will miss him greatly, our neighborhood will never be the same!
Prayers for his family and all who knew him!

You were a gardening rock star, Dale! All plants blossomed under your tender care. Your gardening prowess was surpassed only by your crazy sense of humor. Or maybe I should say sense of the ridiculous. You are surely missed, dear!

Condolences to all who knew and loved Dale. To know Dale was to definitely love him.
