Constance “Connie” Mangum

Memorial services for Constance “Connie” Marie Mangum, 63, Lawrence, will be held at
1 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2009, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.  Inurnment will be at a later date. 

Connie died October 5, 2009, at her home.

She was born July 23, 1946, in Topeka, KS the daughter of Clarence and Ella Marie (Faulk) Hendrix.

Connie was a quality inspector for Hallmark Cards in Lawrence.  She was hired in 1973.  She volunteered at the Lawrence Humane Society and the Sunflower and Woodlawn Elementary
Schools.

She married Terry C. “Spud” Mangum, on May 7, 1966, in Topeka.  He preceded her in death on June 27, 2006.

Survivors include one daughter, Brandy and husband, Stephen Wittbrod, Lawrence; two brothers, Randy Hendrix and Danny Hendrix both of Topeka; her step-mother, Barbara Hendrix, Topeka, KS; a step-brother, Kenny Faulter, Kansas City, KS; two step-sisters, Dorothy Lowhorn, Topeka, KS, and Kathy Johnson, Groton, CT; one grandson, Jordan Wittbrod, Lawrence, KS.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association or the Lawrence Humane Society and sent in care of the mortuary.
