Graveside services for Chris Lauber, 70, of Basehor, KS, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Eudora Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at the KVI shop, 2218 North 1400 Rd, Eudora, KS 66025. Chris passed away on March 13, 2025, at his home.
Chris was born on March 24, 1954, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Dr. Leo E. and Jean Lee (Leavendusky) Lauber. He worked as a plant manager for his father’s company for over 20 years before transitioning to a carbon polymer manufacturing specialist for 15 years, retiring in 2018.
Chris grew up along the Wakarusa and Kansas Rivers with his brothers and best friend, Terry Minor. He was known for playing a mean harmonica and for creating art out of anything he could get his hands on. Like many Laubers, Chris was in his element when making people laugh and smile with his witty jokes and playful teasing. He will be greatly missed.
Chris is survived by his children, Beau (Sarah) Lauber, Christina Lauber, and Cody Lauber; his granddaughter, Avery Lauber; his siblings, Mark, Rick, and Joy Lauber; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David and Tim Lauber.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Chris. Harry and he used to hang out on the river.
They had some good times. Harry said he was a great guy he will be greatly missed.
He used to sell me ring neck snakes for 25cents. I’d give him the money, but I was afraid of the snake, so I wouldn’t even touch it. He’d be back a few days later with a ‘new’ snake, and I’d hand over a quarter.
Sorry to hear of Chris’s passing, I worked with Chris for many years at Orthopedic Casting in Eudora. He will be missed.
