A Celebration for Chris Allen Iden, 63, Lawrence, KS, will be held from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the VFW, 1801 Massachusetts Street, Lawrence, KS, 66044. Chris passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at his home.
Chris was born on January 1, 1960, in Zanesville, OH, the son of Harold and Sandra (Bishoff) Iden.
He was the Small Business Owner of Eagle Painting.
He married Tina Humphrey on May 18, 1986, in Las Vegas, NV. She survives at home.
Other survivors include his daughters, Jaclyn Christina Iden, Krystle Diane Iden, brothers, Daren (Jennifer) Cox, Tom (Peggy) Pryor, Kevin Cox, sisters, Dannette Iden-Miller, Sandy (Kevin) Lockwood, Carla (James) Powers, and canine companion, Sonny.
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, and uncle, Larry Bishoff,
Memorial contributions may be made in Chris’ name to The American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.

Tina, I am so sorry for your loss.Chris was so helpful to us painting both the inside and out side of my house. Thankfully you have your girls and all you wonderful memories. Take one day at a time and you will get less pain in your heart.

I am heartbroken for you and your family. Chris became a good friend of mine 12 years ago when we met. I’ve always looked at him as my uncle. I loved him as a blood relative even though he wasn’t. It’s so hard to take in- my heart breaks for you Tina- he loved you more than anything. Surprised you w Sonny- hopefully Sonny can bring some comfort to you. All my love….

Tina and families, we are so very sorry to hear about the loss of Chris. Although I have never met him, I know that he was a great Husband, Father, and Friend. The posts about him Tina was awesome. We could tell you all loved him so much, and that he loved you all back. May God wrap his loving and comforting arms around you and your girls, and your family at this sad time in your lives. Chris was one of those people that others could always count on in times of stress and need. He also always had a smile and a sense of humor that made get togethers a lot of fun!
