Charlotte Marie (Ray) Woodruff

Funeral services for Charlotte Marie (Ray) Woodruff, 63, Lawrence will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 29, 2016 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. She passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

Charlotte was born August 4, 1952 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Leonard and Beulah (Flory) Ray.

She loved her family, kids, and grandkids. She enjoyed baking and the outdoors.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle (Jay) Criqui II, Lawrence; son, Andrew (Vanessa) Lorenzo, Jr., Lawrence; stepson, Baylen Woodruff, Springfield, MO; seven grandchildren, Heather, Nate, Nevaeh, Ryan, Thadd, Leah, Chance; four great grandchildren; brothers, Mike, Lonnie, T.J.; sisters, Linda, Carol, Fran, Marie, Gale, and Sue; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Rick, John and Ivan.

The family will greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday, February 28th at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    I loved Charlotte and she will be missed. She cared about so many people and was loved by by those that mattered the most to her. She was and always will be my daughter in-law first and foremost. She and JR can forever be together. Love you Charlotte, Love, Mom

    To Charlottes family: l am so sorry to hear of Charlottes passing. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Charlotte was loved by many, she loved everyone of us. I’m so glad she was there for my sister, Pat, she was a good loving friend and mother. You will be missed in our hearts, Charlotte, where ever you are in heaven, rest in beautiful peace. ❤️
