To all of Charlie’s family, My Dad hired Charlie and several of the other high school football team boys to put up hay during the summer. Dad, Wayne Powell, and Charlie developed a really great friendship, which lasted for Dad’s entire lifetime. Charlie and all of his sons are very special people, and I am very sorry for their loss. Dad will be really happy to see Charlie in Heaven.
Joyce, Chad, Charley, & Clint so sorry for your loss. Your company kept my carwash cleared of snow in the winter.
I like that a lot of the comments are about his smile! He had one that would light up a room and he had a great laugh. He was Uncle Tubby to me and my kids even though I wasn’t family. I was always treated like I was. He will be missed! Prayers for the family!!
Joyce, we are so sorry for your loss. Gary knew him well thru construction. We both enjoyed visiting with both of you while admiring his horses. We know a lot of people that are his friends and all speak highly of Charlie. Prayers to all the family.
Joyce and boys we are truly sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. It’s sad that anyone has to suffer so. John said, he worked around 35 years for you and Charlie. Even after John retired he would call Charlie and they would talk about what the boys were doing and about you. I know John will miss their talk. Joyce take care of yourself. I’m sure John will be checking on you.
To the Johnson Family,
(Arnie, Rich & Michele, Steve, Rychel and Dustin)
Lifting you up in prayer during your loss of your beloved and special Brother-In-Law, Uncle and Great Uncle. May you be comforted and find peace and understanding, for where there is great and deep love for another there then is great grief in their loss. Surround yourself with family and friends, for they understand your pain and grief. Speak of your beloved often and out loud! Honor his memory by joyfully sharing stories/remembrances of your times together. Allow the tears to fall, as you remember the special times and moments shared with your beloved. And may those shared memories bring confort along with smiles. Thinking of you, Linda Mangelsdorf-Ishel
We are so Sorry to hear about Charlie. Our Condolences go out to all of your family! It’s been a pleasure to have shared our fence line with Charlie for many many years. We stopped to talk whenever we passed one another on the road or if he was working in the field for cattle fencing, water district lines or just plain digging! (Seemed often!) He carried a smile with him no matter what was happening. He was a man with stamina that even that illness didn’t keep him off his machines. Breaks my heart for the family to have to endure! You all are in our thoughts and prayers! Rob and Robin Bell
Joyce, Chad, Charley and Clint,
Our thoughts and Prayers are with all of you and your family. . Charlie was “Definitely One of Kind” and will be greatly missed by all of his family and MANY MANY friends !! Rest in Piece until we meet again dear Cousin.
Words alone cannot begin to express my sadness in Charlie’s passing. It was only a few weeks ago when Bob Morgan and I called Charlie and asked about getting together for coffee/lunch. Charlie sounded like the same old Charlie, but he told us that he wasn’t feeling up to it. Chad’s eulogy was very heartwarming , and spoken by a proud son. And as Chad said, Charlie could lighten up any room with his presence. Prayers and condolences to the family. Charlie will be fondly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Condolences to the Bowen Family! We went to Lawrence High School with Charlie and he was a great friend! Marvin played football with him! He was a great person and true friend! We will miss him! Marvin and Kathy Pine
