Funeral Services for Carroll Duane Kimball, 74 of Lawrence, KS will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, KS. The family will greet friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
Carroll passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, at LMH Health surrounded by his family.
Carroll was born April 16, 1947 in Lawrence, KS, the son of Harold and Evelyn (Walker) Kimball.
He graduated from Lawrence High School before joining the Air Force where he was a Staff Sargent in Viet Nam. After returning Carroll went to work for FMC where he worked until it changed to Chemtrade Logistics. He retired after 35 years as Operations Manager at Chemtrade Logistics. He married Marva Johnson in 1967, they had 3 children. They later divorced. Carroll married Carol Aiken on May 27, 1994, in Lawrence, KS and she survives at the home.
Other survivors include his children, Michael D. Kimball, Julian J. Kimball, Daiona C. Dillon, Kayden M. Robinson, stepchildren, Michelle L. Robinson, Kevin D. Smith, sisters, Freida B. Green, Carolyn E. Kimball, grandchildren, Lauren, Saxon, Darian, Charita, Charon, Mikey, Mason, Jackson, Shaylee, Nickolas, Lexci, Gabriel, great-grandchildren, NyaNichole, Kahner Ray, Cortland, Levius, Imani, Iliana, and Bentley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Herbert M. Simpson, Harold Kimball Jr, sisters, Clara H. Friend, Joyce M. Johnson, and Ellen E. Thompson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to The Disabled Veterans and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
