Caden White

A Celebration of the Life of Caden Michael White, 5, son of Darin and Shannon Wentz White, will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Lawrence Free Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in the Prairie Center Cemetery, SE of Eudora, Kansas.  He died on Friday, January 9, 2009 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 8, 2003 in Lawrence, Kansas.  He was currently a kindergartener at Deerfield School in Mrs. Smith’s Class.

Caden was a former student at the Giving Tree Preschool at First Christian Church in Lawrence.  He loved God, life, people, laughing and fishing.  His organized activities included soccer in the KVSA League & swimming through the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Program.

Survivors include his parents, his sister, Noel all of the home; his maternal grandparents, Hugh and Mary Ellen Wentz, Lawrence; paternal grandparents, Ed and Peggy White, Lawrence; paternal great grandmothers, Eleanor T. White and Helen G. Johnston, both of Lawrence.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

The family suggests memorials in his name to the Children’s Mercy Hospital Oncology Department (Kansas City, Mo) or to the B.A.L.M. (Beauty, Art, & Life Movement) (Lawrence, KS) for the arts and sustainability.  Please share memories for Caden’s
