Graveside services for Brody James Parson, 2 years old, of Lawrence, will be held at 11 am, Monday, November 3, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, Kansas. (Meet at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, or meet us at the cemetery). Brody passed away October 30, 2014 at 12:51 AM Brody was born August. 9, 2012, in Overland Park, Kansas, to James Jay and Jennifer Dawn (Helm) Parson. Our Son was born with many disabilities but fought to overcome all of them. Brody was the strongest little boy around who had the strength of a 100 men. He overcame so many challenging obstacles in life, which made him our Super Brody. He will forever be in our hearts and will never forget how strong he truly is. Rest In Peace Sweet Baby Angel! He is survived by: his parents, three sisters; Hailey, Belladonna, and Gracie, grandparents; Brian and Susan Parson, and Glen and Carla Helm, his aunt and uncles; Karon and Mitch Baugher, Brianna Parson, and Quinn Parson. So many people loved Brody we give a special shout out to Trish our son’s nurse. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Flowers and plants may be sent to Warren-McElwain Mortuary (we want to make it beautiful for Brody, says mom!) or memorial contributions may be made in Brody Parson’s name to United Cerebral Palsy and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

I never got the pleasure of meeting Brody but i have followed his story on Facebook we have prayed for him and his family No one ever wants this to happen only God knows Why! I think God got tired of seeing him suffer and wanted him to be healed as much as his momma & daddy did! You guys have a Super Angel looking over your Family just remember When the sun is shining its Brody Smiling when the Rain is falling its Happy Tears from Brody when it Snows its Brody saying I miss you! My dear family I just miss seeing all your family. And I’m so sorry for you loss of brody. It just broke my heart when I had read this over on Facebook. But my family and I want to give all the prayers we can. Your a very strong family that still fights and brody will help you guide through your struggles. Brody James Parson was such a blessing and a strong angel. He is now in heaven doing things a 2 year old should be doing. I.e playing with cars, playing in the dirt, watching cartoons, etc. heaven gained another angel. He will from now on be watching over his mom, dad, and sisters. I pray for strength to this Parson family. God Bless you Jenny and James. My condolences to you and your family.
Our deepest sorrow on this great loss of Brody. Know Grandma Susan is probably having a very difficult time with this along with his parents. Please remember God’s arms are wrapping you so tight and saying “Thank You” for taking such good care of his angel while he was on Earth. Please let us know if you need anything.

I fell in love with your family the moment we met. You all have such huge, loving, hearts. You’re amazing people. Brody was definitely everyone’s super hero. He fought so hard for so long. He overcame so many odds. I picture him now running with that absolutely beautiful smile and contagious giggle. Keeping you in my prayers as always. Love you Super Brody!
Sweet Brody, you will be dearly missed by so many people who you became a super hero for. Your mom & dad have been so strong during your journey so it’s easy to see where your strength came from-your bravery & heart is something that is nothing short of inspiring & although your time here on earth wasn’t long you definitely left your mark on the hearts of many! Brody I wish I could’ve finally met you today but it seems my soul is too far away. If there was one thing I would’ve done today it would’ve been to lean over you and kiss your forehead and hold your hand. To touch your sweet curls only fb posts have graced us with. I would’ve held your mom and a big sweet hug and you daddy the same. I’m so sorry for your battle lost but I have faith that eternity will treat you nicer than this life ever could.
