She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in Lawrence and attended Bethany Nazarene College. She married Roy A. She especially enjoyed a 50-year anniversary cruise to Alaska and a 60-year celebration with family and friends.

Bonnie had a love for activities and sports her family was involved in and was a fixture at their events. As a lifelong Lawrence resident, she also was a devoted Jayhawks fan.

She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, St. John Catholic Church and Lawrence Free Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Roy; a daughter, Lianne Martin and her husband, Dallas, of Denver; a son, Loren Taylor and his wife, Susan, of Champaign, IL; and two grandchildren, J.C. Taylor and Elise Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Barbara Pippert.

Bonnie was a beautiful lady inside and out. A mother so proud of her children and grandchildren. God needed another angel to add to his team.

    Taylor Family:
Mrs. Taylor was the greatest school bus driver ever. Everyone loved her and I know that she loved all of her ” Bus Children” . Snow, Flood and the slow trains never altered her schedule. I don’t remember ever being late to school . I remember Mrs. Taylor being happy and would always have a smile on her face. Our thoughts are with you during this time of loss.

Bonnie was one of the sweetest, most caring souls I have had the honor to meet. I’ve only known her for a few years, but I know that I have been blessed to have had that time. May you be granted moments of peace during this very sad time and know that I hold all of you close in my heart as you heal from your loss.

To the Taylor family, many hugs and prayers. I remember when Bonnie opened the store in remembrance of Monte Bernard. His picture was on the wall. I remember Bonnie as a great woman of faith and loved unconditionally. I was one of the many receivers of that unconditional love and am so thankful for that.
