Mass of Christian Burial for Bertille “Tillie” G. Bichelmeyer, 97, Eudora will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 820 Birch Street, Eudora, KS 66025. Burial will follow at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. She passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Medicalodges in Eudora.
Tillie was born March 16, 1920 in Scipio, KS the daughter of Will J. and Lena (Lickteig) Wolken.
She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and Holy Family Alter Society.
She was a homemaker. Tillie loved playing cards.
She married Matt F. Bichelmeyer April 27, 1942 in Scipio, KS. He preceded her in death April 18, 1984.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Florence Mersman, Agnes Rossman, Louise Sobba, Stella Wolken; three brothers, Eugene Wolken, Ernie Wolken and Urban Wolken.
A parish Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 followed by a visitation until 8:00 p.m. at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel, 1003 John L. Williams Drive, Eudora, KS 66025.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery Fund and may be sent in care of the Mortuary.
Tillie and Matt were the nicest people the good lord ever put on this earth. My dad and Matt were old friends, then later on in life I used to go hunting at Matt and Tillie’s place. She always had a cold drink for you.I could sit for hours and listen to the storries her and Matt could tell. Heaven gained one heck of a fine lady. God Bless to all her neices and nephews.
