Ava Bunny Clobes

Funeral service for Ava Bunny Clobes, 2, Eudora will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Lawrence First Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in Hesper Cemetery.

Ava was born on June 20, 2015 the daughter of Mark and Julie (Ramshaw) Clobes.

Ava was known for her sweet smile that melted the hearts of everyone she met. Even though she couldn’t speak, her smile communicated her happiness and brought joy to everyone around her. Ava’s brothers and sisters looked forward to going into her room every day to say good morning and see her give a big smile in return. Her parents Sunday School class was often disrupted by everyone watching her grin instead of listening to the lesson. We could never know what she was thinking about, but that smile always made us feel like everything was going to be OK.

Her hobbies included looking at pretty lights attached to her crib and flashing her extra-long eyelashes.

Ava loved to be held and was being snuggled warmly in her mother’s arms when she passed away. Her family looks forward to seeing her run and hearing her voice when she again has a healthy body at the Resurrection, and we join her to praise our Savior for eternity.

Survivors include her parents of Eudora, siblings, Ling, Xin, Alex and Elijah, all of the home; Maternal grandparents, Helen and Ray Ramshaw, Wakarusa, KS; Great grandmother Elizabeth Ramshaw, Osage City, KS; Aunt, Kristin “Kiki” Ramshaw, Olathe, KS and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George and Karalee Clobes. Ava is also survived by a group of dedicated nurses that loved her and took care of her as if she was their own child.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Lee Ann Britain Infant Development Center at Shawnee Mission Medical Center and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

Mark, Julie and Family, Please know you are in our thoughts and in our prayers. My Wife (Dean) and I were sadden to hear this news from Mark. We know God has another smiling little Angel to carry on the work she brought here on earth with her smile of Joy, Peace and Eternal Love she gave everyone.

For the family, I leave you with the Word of God: Isaiah 41:10 – “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.”

I’m truly sad to hear about the passing of Ava.. I would always go in and talk to her when she was working. There was just something so special about her that she just stole a piece of my heart the first day she was in the NICU. I couldn’t wait to go to work so I could talk to her. I’m so glad she found a living fsmily to love her!! She will always hold a special place in my heart. She is free now to run and laugh with no worries in the world. She will greatly be missed. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
