A Celebration of Life for Alice Joy Loyd, 86, Olathe, Formerly of Eudora, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, Eudora Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date in Eudora Cemetery. Alice passed away on Tuesday, February 05, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society of Olathe.
She was born April 3, 1932 in Parsons, KS, the daughter of John Asher and Elsie (Ehlers) Brueggeman.
She was a member of the First Christian Church.
She was a Product Engineer for Lee apparel.
She married Raymond Earl Loyd on September 5, 1981, in Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death May 15, 2009.
Survivors include daughters, Milisa J. Henderson, Marcia M. Henderson; sister, Dorothy A. Brueggeman and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice was preceded in death by her brothers; George, John, Paul, David Brueggeman, sisters; Mildred Hazell, Frances Holler and Glordia Holler.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Good Shepherd Hospice and sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, Kansas 66044.
