Alice Adina Norris

Alice (Lynch) Norris of Lawrence, Kansas; born May 21, 1940, passed away on May 11, 2021.
Alice grew up on a farm in Sweet Springs, MO and, as a young woman, graduated from Practical Nursing School. She married the love of her life, David Norris in 1960 and moved to Lawrence. They had two children together, Linda and David Jr.

Alice felt blessed to be able to stay home and raise her children, and she loved babysitting and being able to help raise numerous other children.

Later, Alice worked at the Presbyterian Manor, first in the housekeeping department and then as an administrative assistant. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, and baking.

Alice gave her heart to Jesus at a young age and felt His spirit move within her for the first of many times when she was 14. She was an ordained priest at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ (Community of Christ), and was also a member of Lawrence Against Trafficking Taskforce & Education.

Alice is survived by her husband David Norris, Sr. of Lawrence, daughter Linda Norris of Colorado, son David Norris Jr. and daughter-in-law Teresa Norris of Colorado, brother Michael of Virginia, brother Joseph of Lawrence, and five amazing grandchildren: Steven, Candra, Trey, Noelle, and Devin. Alice also leaves many loving nieces and nephews. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, James (Bud) Michael Lynch, and Winifred Wright Lynch.

Services for Alice will be held at the Worden Cornerstone Church at 294 E. 900th Rd., Baldwin City, KS 66006, on Saturday 5/15 @ 2pm.
