Graveside service for Vivian L. Barnes, 91, Lawrence will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery. She died May 10, 2010 at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.
Vivian was born on January 30, 1919 in Lawrence the daughter of Ned and Anna Wilson Barnes.
She attended Lawrence Schools and Lawrence Business College. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1973.
Vivian was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Barnes and her parents.
She will lie in state from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to the Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
