Grandpa it took me many years to forgive you since 1998 but you are someone who helped shape me into the person who I am. You taught me how to live on my own and I love you for that. I know that you have found eternal happiness and I will see you again one day. Rest in Peace.

My heart goes out to the Ledbetter family. I know first hand that words can not even come close to comforting you right now. I lost my mother to a stroke on April 16th. Part of me went with her. Please let me know if you need anything or if there is anything I can do to make this time of sorrow easier. My deepest sympathy. Ginger

Due to the fact that I do not beleive that I can keep my composure during the service, I have decided to post what I would say on here.

My grandfather was not the easiest man to get along with. He would argue with you over anything just to proove that he was right and that you needed to get your head out of your ass. There were several times that he had to show me all the ways I was messing up, sometimes more verbally than others. But because that man was never afriad to say thing AS HE SAW THEM, I was able to grow up into the woman that I am today. I have a stong will, the ability to hold my head high in horrible situations, the ability to love unconditionally, and the temper to make sure that I not only get my point across but the ability to get the job done. I was graced with the knowledge to know that you never miss work unless there is a da** good reason, that you never talk down to your mother or your elders, and always tell the truth cause a lie will always bite you in the ***. Grandpa lived his life his way, under his terms. I know that he is happy to have lived long enough to see his kids, grandkids and his great grandkids. We have all been touch by his unfailing love. I pushed my limits and I tried him so many times that I’m surprised he could ever forgive me, but he did. His love was what got me through any hard times that I endured, or any situation I couldn’t face on my own. He was just a big teddy bear playing at being a grizzly bear. To anyone who is reading this, you are either smiling or crying and that is because you knew grandpa and you know every word of this is true. He was a great man, and awesome father, and an even better grandpa. There will never be one like him. Grandpa I love you. -Amber
