Sandara Meyer

The funeral service for Sandara Kay Meyer, 69, Lawrence will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Mustard Seed.  Mrs. Meyer died August 31, 2011 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born on April 22, 1942 in Coudersport, PA the daughter of Richard Brown and Mary Genevieve Clinton.

Sandara owned and operated Meyer Tax Service in Oklahoma City for over fifteen years. She enjoyed cross-stitching, growing plants, gardening, Praising the Lord and her two dogs, Shadow, Cuddles and cat, #2.

Sandara married Ronald Belisle in November 2000 in Lawrence.  He survives of the home.

Other survivors include eight children, Debbie Johnson and husband, Tom, Muskogee, OK, Delores Nance and husband, Mike, Lufkin, TX, Barbara Hauser and husband, Kenney,  Noble, OK, Robert Meyer, Jr. and wife, Gina, Shawnee, OK , Mark Meyer, Midwest City, OK, Ginnie Ellis and husband, Jim, Lawrence, KS, Pamala Meyer, Overland Park, KS, Samantha Meyer, Kansas City, MO; one brother, Harry Tooley, Chino California; one sister, Paula Tooley, Oklahoma, City, OK; one daughter-in-law, Marilyn Ras, Yukon, OK; 27 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one son, Rodger Allen Ras on November 11, 2000.

The family will greet friends 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Family Church, American Heart Association or American Lung Association and may be sent in care of the Mortuary.

    Ginnie & Family, I am so sorry toher of Sandy’s passing. It is one of the hardest times in one’s life saying goood bye to your parents. Know that she is with god and is not longer struggling. Jim take care of her and give her the strength that she needs to carry on.
