Russ was always a good friend to me. I will forever appreciate the encouragement he gave me as a young man. He was always looking to see how he could make others lives better.

I can remember as a kid going to see Russ with my Dad, Melvin. We also would always hunt him out at the Swap Meet and sit with him for a while. When I was older, I would ride my bike out to his house and visit with him and then stop off to see Mr. Bowen. He will be missed by all of North Lawrence and all of his friends in the car collecting and dancing groups. I pray that he is at peace and with his loved ones that went before him. Prayers to his family.
