Pops,I know I always said what I needed to say to you…but I still wonder if I ever forgot to say something to you.You are the reason I am who I am today. You taught me a good work ethic,to be a God fearing man,to respect others and how to shoot one hell of a hook shot. You taught me how to fish, how to shoot a gun and respect it.I will cherish the memories of every fishing trip we had, especially the ones we had in the most recent past.I love you and miss you, see you later you stubborn ol’coot…

I remember Bob as one of the great Rusty’s employees who made grocery shopping fun. Energetic with a ready smile and always friendly and helpful. I only knew him from that store yet I can remember him so clearly. I’m sure he touched many lives and know he will be missed!

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Bob for several years while attending KU and he was always a good and fair boss. I enjoyed working for him and he certainly worked hard from start to finish. He always provided a good example ! He will certainly be missed.

I never really knew Bob, but I was named after his mother, Eilleen.

Unfortunately, my mother (Merry Johnson Webb) probably never knew that her real first name was Laura! Neither did I, until I saw this announcement. Go figure. But she misspelled it anyway, hence I am Eileen, with one “L”.

I wish I had known Mrs. Woodard and her family better, but my family moved to Portland, Oregon in 1966. I live in West Richland, WA, now.

The distance made that difficult. The last time I saw Bob, I was 10. All I remember about Mrs. Woodard’s house are the lily-of-the-valley flowers in the front.

Today, 20161103, I am heading to Eudora to find out where my mother grew up, where Eilleen lived, in Eudora.

    Blessings to the Woodard family.

    Eileen Louise Webb
