Bob was recognized as the Friend of Education for Langston Hughes Elementary School for the 2004/2005 school year.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Doris Moen, and his sister, Nancy Puehler. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Grace Hospice. Bob was a wonderful person, a loving spouse, a devoted father and a trusted friend.  He will be missed.

Bob came into my life in the late 90’s when he started his teaching career at OWTS in Torrington, CT. His impact was immediate both with students and fellow staff members. Little did we know at the time that he would become a lifelong friend for some of us. As teachers, we have the ability to change many lives. Bob will be missed by all that he touched in his stay at Oliver Wolcott. His students loved him. His friends loved him. RIP my friend.
