A memorial gathering for Paul W. Sollars, Sr., 73, Eudora, KS, will be held from 10 a.m – 12 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Eudora Church of Christ in Eudora, KS. Private inurnment will be at a later date. He died on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at his home.
Paul was born on January 1, 1939 in St. Joseph, MO, the son of Warren and Edith Beatty Sollars.
He was a retired brick mason.
He was a member of Local #15 of the Brick Layers Union in Kansas City, MO.
He married Patricia Bartlett on December 8, 1979 in Olathe, KS. She preceded him in death on March 15, 2011.
Survivors include four daughters, Angela Thomas, of Emporia, KS, Melanie (husband, Mark) Chaffin, of Lee’s Summit, MO, Michelle Schneider, of Hephzibah, GA, Lisa (husband, John III) Hughes, of St. Charles, MO; three sons, Frankie (wife, Michelle) Sollars, of Topeka, KS, Craig (wife, Michelle) Sollars, of Topeka, KS, Paul (wife, Crystal) Sollars, Jr. of Eudora, KS, fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The family suggests memorials in his name to the Eudora Church of Christ and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
