Olga Black

Private family services for Olga Fisher Black, 96, Eudora, formerly of Grandview, MO will be held at a later date.  She died November 9, 2011 at her home in Eudora.

Olga was born on May 5, 1915 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Steve and Elizabeth (Danyi) Fisher. They had immigrated from Hungry in the late 1890’s.  She was one of eight children.

Olga grew up and attended schools in Chicago, IL.  She married Opie Kenneth Black in 1936 in Chicago. She was a homemaker.  Olga and Opie moved to several different cities and finally made Grandview, Missouri their home. For health reasons she decided to move to Eudora to be closer to family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Opie and son, Kenneth Black.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty Sisson and husband, Walter, Eudora, KS and their children Regan Marie, Alex, Elijah and Macala; and Kenneth’s children, Cindy Tice and Don Black and four great-grandchildren.

    For some reason, I hit on the obit for your mother. She had a wonderful long life. It is interesting that I did this on Mothers Day. Been thinking about you and your family.
