I have many fond memories of Mildred when she was our cook at the Delta Upsilon Fraternity at KU. Best banana bread I ever had! She made me laugh every day and prayed for me whenever I had a test. I’ll never forget her … a very special lady.

I had the pleasure of eating the best fried chicken and pork chops from 1983-1987 at the DU house at KU. Millie was the “Kitchen Magician”, we will all miss her and remember her fondly.

Mildred was loved by all in the DU House. I had the pleasure of living in the house from 1978-80. She always had a smile on her face and gracefully fed 66+ men lunch and dinner everyday.

What wonderful memories I have of Millie. She was always pleasant and a joy to be around. She was a woman of deep faith in Christ. I can still hear her shout “Order!” when an individual meal order was completed. She outlived a lot of people! God Bless.

Hundreds of men said a prayer for our dear Millie in recent days as they learned of her passing. Her hard work, character, and spunk earned the love and affection of DU men through the years. She will always be remembered.

Many fond memories of Millie during my years at the DU House. Always looked forward to Fridays when she served her well-known Millieburgers. She was a very special person for the men of Delta Upsilon and will forever be missed. God Bless your family in their time of loss.

Millie was a big part of the DU house in our days, taking care of 70 hungry, ornery boys every day without complaint. Best B&G I think I’ve ever had. Thanks Millie!
