Lynne Funk

Funeral services for Lynne S. Funk, 57, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.  Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.  She died on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at her home.

She was born on February 29, 1956 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Beth) Belliotti.  She had lived in Lawrence since moving from California in 1968.

Lynne was employed as an accountant by Del Monte Foods and originally the Quaker Oats Company.  She also worked part-time at Weaver’s Department Store.

Lynne loved her family, co-workers, friends, and her dog, Shorty.  In addition, she enjoyed gardening and watching hummingbirds.

Survivors include a daughter, Lauren Funk, of Kansas City, MO; a son, Bryan and wife Abbey Funk, of Lawrence, KS; a sister, Lisa Mazur, of Concord, MA, a former son-in-law, Michael Edwards, of Lawrence, KS, and a granddaughter, Emerson Funk.

The family will greet friends from 5:30 – 7p.m. Thursday evening at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials in her name to the American Heart Association and may be sent in care of the mortuary.

    I have known Lynn since she started at Quaker Oats so many years ago. She was a sweet professional and an even sweeter person. I willmiss working with her and will miss seeingher at Weaver’s on the weekends. She loved her family and her travels, too. She often shared the great vacations she had and was always ready to travel again and again. My prayers are for her and her family, whom she loved very mch.
