We were very saddened to hear of Lyman’s passing. He was wonderful to our grandma Judy and was very special to her. They had some fun times together. She will miss him greatly as we will also. We are planning on being at the service.

Lyman helped us as a volunteer in the ESL Program at Plymouth Church. His help was unvaluable and we greatly appreciated it. I am going to miss him, for this session we had agreed I was going to pick him up from Brandon Woods since he didn’t had a driver license anymore; when I received the news I was very sad that I wasn’t going to see him every week anymore. He was so kind and funny, I am happy I got to meet him. My deepest sympathy for his family from the ESL Program at Plymouth Church.

We are so sorry to learn of Lyman’s passing away. For almost 20 years, we were “backyard neighbors” with Dorothy and Lyman, sharing many conversations over the fence. The seasons were marked for us, watching Lyman work tirelessly in his yard; growing, trimming, planting, and pruning. Because our kitchen windows faced their home, we watched one SNOWY winter afternoon as Lyman got a ladder out, climbed up on his roof, and began to shovel! We got the phone out, and dialed 9-1…he did not fall off, so we never had to dial that last “1”. Lyman and Dorothy were wonderful neighbors, and we still think of them often. Our sympathy goes out to your family. Melinda Cekola
