Louisa Carr

Graveside services for Louisa B. Carr, 89, Lawrence will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence, Kansas.  She died on December 30, 2010 at her home in Lawrence.

She was born December 4, 1921 in Lawrence, Kansas the daughter of Raymond D. Carr and Daisy B. (Parsons) Carr Lipp.

She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School and then worked for Southwestern Bell as a service assistant in the traffic department and retired after many years of service.

She was a member of the Southwestern Bell Pioneer Club and North Lawrence Christian Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Violet M. Findley of Wooster, OH; Ida Jean Bartz and Connie Pritchett and her husband, Hubert of Lawrence, and four nieces and two nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorial in her name to North Lawrence Christian Church and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
