Lonnie Brizendine

Memorial gathering for Lonnie L. Brizendine, 68, Eudora, KS, will be held from 6-8p.m., Monday, June 4, 2012 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Eudora.  He died on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Olathe Medical Center.

He was born on September 11, 1943 in Brookfield, MO, the son of Lonnie C. Brizendine and Thelma (Lane) Knight.

Lonnie served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.

He worked at the Ford Plant in Claycoma for 10 years and then owned and operated Lonnie’s Auto Paints in Lawrence.  After the auto paint store, he drove truck over the road and retired in 2001.

He married Peggy Mobley on July 12, 1969 in Kansas City, KS.  She survives of the home. 

Other survivors include an aunt, Edna Smith of California, MO.

    Don Shadwick called today with the news of Lonnie’s passing. I’m so glad he had a chance to see both of you during his recent visit. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
