Janett Louise Fehrenbacher, 64, formerly of Port Charlotte, FL died April 1, 2011 in Lawrence, Kansas. She was born on October 10, 1946 in Garden City, KS, the daughter of Louis and Aphrodite Louise (Angeles) Gilchrist.
Janett was a 1964 Graduate of Garden City High School, studied at Ft. Hays St. University, Hays KS and received her Dental Hygienist certification from Johnson County Community College. She started her dental career at the early age of fourteen. Janett loved music and traveling. The highlight of her last trip was to Greece to visit her maternal grandparent’s homeland.
Janett married Thomas R. Gardiner, on Dec.18, 1965. From that union came two sons. She married Phillip Fehrenbacher on January 6, 1979. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2009. They made Florida their home residing in Tampa and Port Charlotte, FL for more than 25 years.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy R. Gardiner, Garden City, KS, Matthew T. Gardiner and wife Erika, Satata KS; a brother Frank Gilchrist and wife Janette, Salina, KS and five grandsons.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, April 16 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Garden City, KS. Inurnment will take place in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City KS.
