James Engnehl

Graveside service for James “Jim” E. Engnehl, 71, Lawrence will be held 10:00 a.m. September 7, 2010 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, Kansas.  He died September 2, 2010 at University of Kansas Medical Center.

He was born October 14, 1938 in Brookfield, Missouri the son of Albert Leroy and Helen Mae (Moore) Engnehl.

He worked for the Lawrence Public Works Department for 33 years, he retired in December of 2000.

He married Martha Cheek on November 4, 1960 in Brookfield, Missouri.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Engnehl; Jamie and husband, Michael Ramsey both of Lawrence; four grandchildren Allie, Madison, Peyton, and Liam.

The family suggests memorials in his name to the Jim Engnehl Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
